Video Analytics
The computerised analysis of video streams, particularly from CCTV or IP-enabled cameras. Automatically analysing video to detect events, like counting people. Also called Video Content Analysis (VCA). It is a branch of computer vision.
It is used, for example, in real-time analysis of video for immediate detection and counting of people. Image processing algorithms can be over 98% effective at counting people entering and leaving counting zones.
