Low-cost vehicle counting

A large self storage provider has customer parking on site and storage rooms of up to 500 square feet. They wanted to monitor vehicles going in and out of their secure site, and so they contacted Retail Sensing.

They wanted an alternative to a camera-based system. After surveying their site, we were able to offer cheaper solution. By installing sensors on the gate we could record how often the gate opened and closed. Dividing this figure by two in software gives the number of vehicles entering over the counting period, every hour or every day for example.
