Retail Sensing are delighted to make our occupancy counting software available for free! We’re giving small stores and other businesses valuable insights about their visitor numbers. They don’t need to purchase any hardware – the RSL Occupancy Meter software works seamlessly with any IP CCTV camera.
Leveraging AI technology, our software analyses the scene every 10 seconds, accurately counting people and delivering real-time occupancy data. It also saves maximum hourly counts for later analysis
Retailers and event organisers can use the RSL Occupancy Meter software to monitor queue length. If the camera is pointing to the queuing zone, the software will count the number of people in the queue.
The software runs under Window. It regularly reads a video feed from an IP camera such as is often already installed in the building. It does this using RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) . Using AI, the Occupancy Meter software counts the number of people in the picture. Every hour it saves the highest occupancy figure to file for later analysis.
The software come with an MIT licence which means it can be freely used, copied and redistributed. The licence also specifies that the software is provided “as is” without warranty. You can read the licence’s conditions of use here.
While the free occupancy software is a great starting point, we offer comprehensive systems to cater to all your needs.
