Passenger Counting

Casino luxury bus shuttle automatically counts passengers for ridership analysis

DPV Transportation Worldwide run free luxury shuttle buses to the Boston Encore Casino – the biggest casion in Massachusetts. As part of DPV’s service to the casino they provide Ridership Analysis, using a Retail Sensing passenger counting system to collect the data.

The Encore Casino used the ridership analysis to discover how many people were using the buses and at what times. They wanted to make sure they were getting value for money from the bus shuttle.

Knowing the busy times for the buses was also helpful for DPV Transportation Worldwide – they could easily schedule more buses when needed and reduce the service when not. Passenger counts are transmitted in real-time and shown on a secure website.

Historic data is also available

Tracking ridership and capacity is easy and accurate using our advanced automatic passenger counter technology.
