Farm security – Enhanced CCTV sends intruder alerts

Retail Sensing have partnered with NextGenAgri and R-Com to help protect farm property and equipment. Our innovative security system uses artificial intelligence to monitor the activity of people and vehicles. It works with existing digital CCTV to send alerts on unexpected intrusions.

According to the insurers NFU Mutual, rural theft cost the UK an estimated £43.3m in 2020. Highly-organised criminals continued to plague farmyards and our systems help reduce losses.

Automatic Alerts and Alarms

The new artificial intelligence (AI) system automatically detects people and vehicles on a farm, day and night. It immediately sends an alert when anyone is seen out-of-hours, letting farmers react to suspicious activity.

Our intelligent Video Turnstile people & vehicle counting units link to CCTV cameras and analyse the video stream, looking for intruders or vehicles. The on-board software detects people and behaviour, and identifies vehicle types and sizes from scooters through to large plant. It immediately sends alarms and alerts at suspicious activity. No more watching back video footage after the theft has occurred to see what has happened, the technology lets you react whilst the intruders are on site.
