Minimum Separation
In video people counting, when a person first enters the counting zone, it may be that two parts of a person enter with a gap between them. For example if a person is carrying a briefcase the camera might first see the case and then an opposite foot or hand. To prevent this causing two separate people being "seeded", the person setting up the system can choose a Minimum Separation number of pixels. (Seeding is the first sign of a person.)
